New Orleans Metro under flash flood warning

Heavy downpours over the area could cause flash flooding on streets. A total of one to two inches has fallen with an additional one to two inches expected. Some locations that will experience flooding include New Orleans, Harvey, Marrero, Timberlane, Metairie, Chalmette, Avondale, Belle Chasse, East New Orleans, Jefferson, Gretna, Harahan, Westwego, Bridge City, Terrytown, Arabi, Elmwood, Woodmere, Estelle and River Ridge.

Parking restrictions have been lifted in New Orleans. Residents are encouraged to move their vehicles to neutral grounds.
