Bushiroad Games will release the first-ever console game for Mushoku Tensei, or Jobless Reincarnation. The full title of the game will be “Jobless Reincarnation: Quest of Memories.” There is no official release window as of yet. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
There is no official trailer as of yet for the game. However, you can see it in Bushiroad’s video about its upcoming line-up of projects:
Other games that Bushiroad is working on include a new Macross game and a game for Goblin Slayer. So far, we do not know the genre the Jobless Reincarnation game will be. There is also no information on whether or not it will have an original story.
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is a light novel series that has inspired both a comic and a show. There was a mobile game for it in 2021. However, Jobless Reincarnation: Quest of Memories will be the first time that it will appear on actual consoles. The story follows a NEET who realizes that his life is pointless and, in an attempt to do something meaningful for once, sacrifices his life to save some teenagers from a truck. Afterwards, he reincarnates in a sword-and-sorcery world and lives there as Rudeus Greyrat, who is a highly skilled mage.
Jobless Reincarnation: Quest of Memories will come out on the PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC (via Steam). More information on the release window will come out in the future.
